Kumul is a data intelligence tool that allows businesses to collect meaningful insights from their customers and respond, to improve the service, product and experience they are offering. 

 

Information we collect 

 

For a business to use the Kumul service, we will require information from you to get the process moving. The information you provide will allow us to build a better picture of your business and therefore better serve you. Personal information we collect will include, but not be limited to, your email, industry, job title, company name, account password, company website.

 

Part of your account may include access to a dashboard where information you may have the ability to push information to third party networks like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. You will have the ability to connect and disconnect these third party networks and if you push content to these third party networks the treatment of such data will be determined by their Terms of Service, Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. 

 

How do we collect information?

 

TextUnited and the Application Kumul use different ways to get information, including;

 

Active information provision; this may include sending emails, communicating directly with us, filling in a form. We may retain this information to process your requests, improve our service and better serve you and the users of our application. 

 

Passive information provision; this will generally be automated via technology and interactions by using our Application and Website. This may include our servers recording information on your browser, logs and information such as web request, location, IP address, device language, browser type, browser language, date and time information, cookies, login data, operating system and other technology on the devices you use to access the Application and Website. 

 

The user of personal information

 

We only use personal information you provide to us when allowed by the law. Personal information is generally used for the following purposes;

Text United and Kumul don’t rely on legal consent to process personal information and will only send you information that is to be reasonably expected by you. We may send you marketing materials from time to time and you can of course opt out of this whenever you want by emailing support@kumul.co, unsubscribing directly in the email footer or contacting your representative

 

We may make a decision to send you information and offers based on how we profile your business, which is a general overview of your personal information that you have provided us with. This profiling allows us to show you what you want to see and offer you services or products that may support your business

 

Failure to provide personal information

 

As per our Terms of Service and law, we need certain information to offer you a fully functioning, operational product and service. If you don’t provide us this information when signing up or when requested, we may not be able to enter the contract we have or are going to enter with you or offer you the correct product or service. In such a case we may need to cancel our agreement - however we will notify you of this. 

 

Privacy disclosure

 

We only share personal data with other companies or individuals in a few select circumstances. 1) we have your consent which requires you to opt-in for it; 2) we share information with subsidiaries or affiliated / trust companies or individuals for the purpose of data processing on our behalf. These third parties agree to strict processes under our Terms of Service and other legal, privacy and confidentiality regulations and frameworks. In these situations we always therefore have good faith and belief that the access, use and processing of this data satisfies relevant legislation, regulation, Terms and Conditions, Terms of Service where applicable. We act in the interest of the users of our Application and Website. 

 

Non-identifiable information such as statistics and aggregated information may be used, shared and published without your consent. 

Security & Integrity

 

It is our aim to ensure security, privacy and integrity of your personal information and we constantly look for ways to better do this, both in terms of new technology and procedures. No information however can be 100% secure and guaranteed on the internet, but we take all reasonable steps to protect the information you provide to us. We will not be held responsible for any event arising for unauthorised access to your personal information. 

 

We use technology and physical methods to protect your data such as regular tests, constant monitoring of security measures, encryptions, restrictions of access and sharing within Text United and Kumul. The only individuals with access to your information have signed legal documentation and confidentiality agreements, 

 

We have strong measures to prevent a personal information breach and will inform you and the applicable regulator of a breach where and when we are legally required to do so. 

 

Retaining Data

 

We only keep your data on file for the period agreed to fulfil our obligations to you and satisfy and legal, accounting or reporting requirements. To understand the exact time we retain your data for, we take into account necessary risks, quantity, sensitivity, the purpose of the data, and any other applicable legal requirements 

 

Cookies

 

A cookie is an identifier that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive via a browser to allow our system to recognise your browser provide us with information and statistics on page visits. You can turn this off in your browser  quite easily and if you require help please email us. We recommend keeping cookies activated as it will mean therefore we can show you our content in its intended way. 

Data Storage

 

Some of your data may be stored overseas as we use the services of international companies who provide us with strong and secure infrastructure. Companies that we use for this data storage are located in the EEA and the USA. This continent and country have strict privacy laws, but where different from European law, we require confirmation from the provider that their Privacy Policy that applies internationally is similar to ours. If we transfer data, we will only do si of the country receiving has shown a good level of data protection regulation as recognised by the European Commission. When using providers based in the USA, they must be part of the EU-US Privacy Shield which means they have to provide similar protection for personal data as the EU regulations. Your rights

 

You have the right to submit a “data subject access request”, or request access to your personal data which means you can receive a copy of what we hold about you and check we are lawfully processing it. 

 

You can request that we delete your information if you feel like there is no good reason for us to continue processing it

 

You can object to us processing your data where we are relying on the interest of us or a third party. You can also request restrictions of us processing your data.

 

You can request a correction of your personal data that we hold on you - please keep us informed of any changes. 

 

You can request the transfer of your data to you or a third party and we will provide this information in a structured, clean format.

To proceed with any of the aforementioned requests we will need to confirm your identity as a security measure. We may also contact you asking further information to prevent any data privacy issues or security issues and we try our best to respond to any requests within one month.

Please take adequate security measures from your side also, like signing out of your account and closing your browser when finishing a session. You are responsible for the security of your username and password so please keep this information secure and safe.
